Current Science Issues: Global Warming? It was -11 this morning!

"Current Science Issues: Global Warming? It was -11 this morning!: So, there's been huge talk for a long time about "global warming." I don't buy it. First, I woke up this morning to -11 ... "

I do not agree with the post at all. They are talking about how scientist are lying about global warming because Texas has snow, but how can Texas have snow because its a desert. NASA and NOAA have researched and yes global warming causes warmer temperatures, because of an increase in heat trapping emission. They also talk about how when there is alot of hotter air the moisture gets caught in the air and when the season changes all of that moisture has to go somewhere, and with colder temperatures that will make the rain and snow heavier.

Another point brought up in article is that when the weather is -11 degrees that there nose hairs can freeze to a telephone poll. There is two things that make me question this. First off your nose hairs have to be long enough to stick out of your nose to stick to the telephone poll. Secondly according to wonderopolis.com not even your tongue can freeze to a poll unless its -32 degrees, and only because of the moisture on your tongue. So if your nose hairs aren't long enough and they are not wet, AND the temperature is not below -32 then that is never going to happen.

So needless to say there is defiantly facts that prove this theory wrong.

  1. Watch the silly grammar mistakes. It is easy to type the same way we talk, but often that can lead to run-on sentences or funky punctuation.
I think you did a nice job of addressing the extra moisture in the air and the increase in snow fall.
